OISCA is international non-governmental organization founded in 1961. Equipped with over five decades of working experience at grassroots level, we launched the Coastal Forest Restoration Project shortly after the Great East Japan Earthquake. We are engaged in helping restore the coastal forest, as well as prompting employment for earthquake-affected farmers in collaboration with donors and volunteers from all over Japan as well as the local government and residents.

We would like to use your donations for silvicultural activities, including raising 35,000 seedlings, mow grass within a 100-hectare coastal forest and withering debris of locust trees as part of a project to restore the coastal forest in Natori city, Miyagi prefecture, which was lost in the Great East Japan Earthquake.

We are a volunteer organization launched in Harajuku, Tokyo in 2002, focusing on litter pickup activities around town.
Wide-ranging individuals of all ages, including industrial firms, participate in a group of teams currently totaling around 90 in Japan and abroad. We strive to globally convey a litter pickup culture unique to Japan and bequeath the same to younger generations.

We would like use your donations to fund litter pickup initiatives and encourage litterless town activities via the nine existing teams in the Kansai region as well as covering the cost of establishing and maintaining new teams; within the Kansai region and abroad.

We engage in activities to reconnect man with nature ranging from environmental conservation activities in urban areas, farming and fishing villages to fostering human resources for environmental conservation. In Osaka, we operate Osaka Rangers’ Project where younger generations can casually participate in volunteer activities.

We would like to use your donations to help our project become self-sustaining, including activating and propagating the Osaka Rangers’ Project(http://rangersproject.jp/project/osaka/), which was established to support regional environmental conservation activities in Osaka and encourage local people’s participation.

We plan to organize nature experience and hands-on learning programs to encourage the healthy growth of children, mainly in the Kinki area. We would also like to use your donations to organize classes within schools and teach people how to create an indoor environment with mental care for parents and children in areas affected by natural disasters.

Upholding our mission: “Connecting youngsters with society”, we help youngsters who find themselves cut off from society, e.g. withdrawn or NEETs. We promote efforts to coordinate with administrative agencies and private companies striving for a society that welcomes youngsters, while supporting 2,000 or so of such individuals annually.

We would like to use your donations to support youngsters who want to change the status quo for free for a certain period, as well as developing programs to encourage candidates to get and keep jobs, including telework, to meet each different individual circumstance.

Wishing to deliver the “moment of being a child” for children who are hospitalized. Based on this aspiration, we provide a program dispatching CliniClowns to children’s wards of hospitals throughout Japan from Osaka and fostering children’s zest for living through play and involvement with children.

The TSURUMI Children’s Hospice (TCH), Japan’s first community-based hospice for children, opened in spring 2016 in Tsurumi ward, Osaka. Whatever illness its children may have, they value enjoying the same experience as their peers of the same generation and every moment spent there. The TCH is a second home for children with life-threatening diseases and their families, who support them to enhance their quality of life.

We would like to use your donations to provide various opportunities, including enhancing hospice programs and lodgment for children with life-threatening diseases such as pediatric cancer and neuromuscular disease, as well as offering a grief care venue for bereaved families.

As the Japan affiliate of the Cancer Support Community – the largest international non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to people affected by cancer – we have been engaged in activities in the Kanto region since 2001 and the Kansai region since 2013 , providing mental healthcare for cancer patients and their loved ones from professionals such as clinical psychotherapists, social workers and nurses in their local communities.

Watari, the head of the organization and raised by a single mother, was spurred to establish this organization with friends from university in 2010 with a wish to support children in similar circumstances. His organization provides children with study support in Minoh, Takatsuki and Suita cities within Osaka prefecture.

Osakafu Ikueikai was established in 1952 as a means of helping students in Osaka prefecture struggling to attend school for economic reasons and has been offering student loan programs for over 60 years.
Moreover, in fiscal 2014, we established Yume Mirai Scholarship Program grants, which need not be repaid and have since been assisting high school students to access higher education, including college, to help realize their dreams.

There are around 520,000 registrants for bone-marrow donors, but around 40 percent remain unable to find appropriate donors and undergo bone-marrow transplantation as things stand. We have been striving to encourage more people to join our bone-marrow registry.

Our activities center on three pillars of support, i.e. support to improve the livelihood of children having experienced pediatric cancer, including scholarship offers, subsidizing transportation expenses, etc., providing therapy research grants to improve the cure rate and information and promoting awareness, striving to ensure children suffering from cancer can still smile and live with peace of mind.

It is said that around half of pediatric cancer survivors suffer from the effects of the cancer itself and/or the after-effects of the disease (late complications following treatment). We would like to use your donations to fund scholarships which need not be repaid to help such pediatric cancer survivors go to university/technical college and support them in efforts to become self-reliant.

We have been helping people in pain and despairing such that they wish to end their lives by providing telephone counseling over 41 years since 1978. We also organize gatherings for bereaved families having lost their loved ones through suicide to share their bitter thoughts with peace of mind.

We would like to use your donations to fund the telephone counseling that underpins our activities and operating an association of bereaved families who lost their loved ones due to suicide, including running costs for our operation base, the cost of equipment such as telephones, labor costs, training costs to improve the level of consultants and having external instructors and so on.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is a United Nations agency set up in 1950 to support refugees. We are engaged in protecting and supporting refugees who were driven from their home countries and those internally displaced due to conflicts and persecution and having been striving to solve refugee issues in 135 countries worldwide. The Japan for UNHCR is the official contact tasked with supporting the aforementioned activities.

We would like to use your donations to provide educational support for refugee children in the form of the resources they need to attend school such as textbooks, school supplies, uniforms and shoes, creating a study environment as well as securing and fostering high-quality teachers.

The Child Chemo House is a facility with medical professionals on duty around the clock, where children with incurable diseases, including pediatric cancers, can feel at home and with peace of mind.
We also help raise awareness of pediatric cancer through walking events.

NPO Tsunagarihiroba is an organization supporting people coming face-to-face with cancer, which was established in November 2017 and has since been supporting patients with self-determination and making decisions by listening to their problems and anxieties. This is a venue open to all at any time.

To support cancer patients, we would like to use your donations to create an organization, fostering human resources and enhancing the operating base as part of efforts to expand the eligible scope to include all Kansai residents, based on our supportive activities in collaboration with the Osaka International Cancer Institute.

The Japan IDDM Network is a non-profit organization supporting patients and their families requiring daily insulin replacement to cope with type I diabetes, which is incurable. We subsidize various research work to render such incurable diseases curable.

We would like to use your donations to subsidize research funding for eradicating (permanently curing, treating and preventing) type I diabetes, which is considered incurable, as well as supporting children and young adults coping with this condition through our scholarship and business incubator programs tailored for those suffering with this disease.

We are striving to look into and alter the social structure and problems arising therein by conveying local feedback to society while supporting efforts to boost QOL such as agricultural training education and sending children to school despite ongoing conflict, as well as humanitarian support and peacebuilding assistant where people can learn about coexisting programs, etc.

The Japan Children Support Association was founded a decade ago by the founder who was unable to achieve spontaneous pregnancy due to a congenital disease and became a foster parent via fertility treatment to expand the foster family system as part of efforts to prevent child abuse. We have a good track record in supporting foster parents, organizing enlightenment events nationwide as well as developing the nation's first foster home portal.

We would like to use your donations to raise awareness among foster parents through events and website operation, focusing on children who cannot live with their parents against the backdrop of child abuse and having never taken a bath at home, even at the age of five and unaware of what normal lives constitute to live with foster families.

Aspiring to realize “a society allowing parents to work after childbirth without much surprise”, Nobel was established in 2009 as the first mutual aid project offering a home-visit day care service for sick children, which dispatches nursing care staff to children’s homes whenever needed and without fail, even for same-day requests in the Kansai region. We have been expanding our support toward the goal of establishing a safety net which anyone requiring day care service for sick children can use.

We will provide a day care service for sick children which is user-friendly to all, including special programs providing our service at 1,000 yen per month for single-parent families with annual income below 3 million yen and providing a day care service for disabled children which require more manpower and there are far outnumbered who provide services than usual at the normal rate.(*no optional fees).
