- Born in 1986, originally from Niigata prefecture and currently resident in Tokyo. After graduating from the Tokyo Design Academy (Graphic Design Department), became a designer and currently works as a freelance illustrator. She continues drawing girls’ paintings that exemplify “a girl with an inferiority complex” adding elements of humorousness, tricks and poison as well as poppies and other cute characteristics, supported by teenage girls and twentysomething women. As well as artwork including magazines, books, events, cosmetic packages and TV show illustrations, she also engages in advertising illustrations such as SHIBUYA 109 and PARCO as well as similar collaborative work. As well as her activities in Japan, she also exhibits her work at art galleries in L.A., N.Y.C., Spain, the U.K., Hong Kong and Taiwan.She creates both digital illustrations using sharp outlines and brilliant colors, and analog illustrations featuring its characteristics with fluorescent colors.
