Frederic is a rock band from Kobe formed centering on Kenji Mihara（Vo. & Gt.）and Koji Mihara (Ba. & Cho.), twin brothers. Unforgettable music numbers created from their distinctive sense of humor and an extended musical background attracted interest and put them in the spotlight, whereupon they were selected to perform at one of the largest music events in Kansai called “COMIN’ KOBE” since debuting as a band. They went on to win a special award for “MASH A&R”, a collaborative audition by four organizations of the music industry, “MUSICA”, “A-Sketch”, “SPACE SHOWERTV” and “HIP LAND MUSIC” in the first year. They continue their activities in their own unique style, restricting CD sales to live venues only and limiting the market launch to 7-inch analog records.

September that year saw the band release a mini album, “oddloop”, following its debut under the major record label, A-Sketch. The lead track of the “oddloop” album is one that sticks inexorably in people’s mind and a hot talking point, already earning over 14 million views on YouTube (as of September 7, 2016). In November the same year, they performed their own solo live performance tour, “Odottenaiyoruga Kiniira NIGHT Tour” in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. At the end of the year, they performed at countdown live shows at several arenas and all venues had to restrict admission given the crush of fans desperate to see them. They have drawn attention as the most promising newcomer.

In May 2015, the band released a mini album, “OWARASENIGHT” for the first time in 7 months since the last album, “oddloop”. They also performed at joint band concerts and big rock festivals in spring and summer, enlivening various locations. As they announced the other day that band member kaz. (Dr.), an original member of the band, would withdraw, during their first national tour, “Frederythm Tour 2015” (10 gigs in 10 cities) launched in November, the band performed as a trio. All venues and performances were sold out and a great success. In November 25, 2015, a mini album “OTOTUNE” was also released.

In October 2016, finally, their first full-sized album will be released under a major label and their largest ever solo live tour will kick off in eleven locations nationwide. Their live show in Osaka is scheduled to take place at Namba Hatch on January 8, 2017.
