The Osaka Marathon is a charity marathon with the key phrase: “Making a Rainbow Together.” The programs are based on the philosophy below. We aim to make this an event that involves more people in charity than any other marathon in the world.
Aim
We conduct related programs with the aim of providing the large number of people involved in the Osaka Marathon, including all participating runners, spectators, and volunteer staff, with an environment for participating in, and an opportunity for thinking about, charity.

In the Osaka Marathon, charity is a bigger element than marathon. This is a marathon for those who have chosen to be involved in charity. - Runners choose a theme and are involved in it.
Those who wish to participate choose from a number of themes the topic they wish to contribute to socially. And by making a contribution, they are involved in charity. - Providing an opportunity for more people to be involved in charity
We are widening the target so it is not just runners but volunteers, spectators, and others too who are involved. We are actively involving large numbers of people and fostering a new movement: Creating the Osaka Marathon Together.
